"The Night Sky" Evening Course

The course run by the members of the Mansfield & Sutton Astronomical Society covers all aspects of modern astronomy, with a bias towards hands-on practical sessions whenever the weather permits.

The next course will start on Friday 17th October 2008, and will run each Friday evening until Friday 12th December 2008 (inclusive).

The start time for each evening is 7:30PM, and the evenings activities will run until approximately 9:30PM.

Society Members will be on hand each night to assist with refreshments and telescope usage, and will be available to answer any questions during breaks or at observation times.

One week will be used to permit an observing session using Society equipment, however this is dependent on favourable viewing conditions .

Cost of the course to be £40 per adult, £20 for under 18’s. Anyone under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Family groups will be accepted on a discounted basis.
