Caldwell Finders

In total there are 109 objects catalogued by Sir Patrick Caldwell Moore, known collectively as the Caldwell Objects or the Caldwell Catalogue. Amongst the 109 objects there are 28 open star clusters, 18 globular star clusters, 13 planetary nebulae, 12 bright nebulae, one dark nebulae, and both halves of a supernova remnant.

Every object within the Caldwell catalogue should be visible with a 4-inch telescope under a dark sky, and most are also visible with binoculars (and in many cases even with the naked eye).

Listed below are a set of Telrad finder guides to the 109 Caldwell objects in Adobe Acrobat format, created using Skymap Pro.

Each finder guide is centered about the object listed (with an overlaid Telrad sight) and shows surrounding objects down to either magnitude 6.5 or 7 depending on the chart.
